These paintings show Venus, The Goddess of Love, emerging from The Sea and The Sun. The Sun becomes a metaphor for The Big Bang and Venus a metaphor for the emergence of human life. Everything is molten. A time-lapse film of the history of the universe from Big Bang to Now is condensed into a single image. Human life is shown as beautiful and transient.
